Commissioning and post-install notifications

What we do after the system is installed to close out the application.

Written by the DNO Renewables teamUpdated

For G99 applications

Once the system is installed:

  1. Send us the commissioning form, signed by the electrician.
  2. Send the installation certificate.
  3. Send the final metering photos (inverter, meter, export CT).

We'll submit these to the DNO and the status will move to Commissioned.

For G98 notifications

G98 is a post-install notification, so we submit after the install is complete. Send us:

  • Date of commissioning
  • Serial numbers of the installed inverter(s)
  • MCS certificate number

When to send

Within 28 days of commissioning. Late notifications can be flagged.

What if the install is delayed?

Approvals are typically valid for 12 months. If you're going to overrun, tell us early and we'll ask the DNO for an extension.
