DNO Renewables is a UK grid connection consultancy specialising in DNO applications, site surveys and feasibility studies for solar, battery storage, EV chargers and heat pumps.
Every submission is prepared and reviewed by a real engineer on our team, never generated by templates, AI tools, or offshore admin staff. We understand G99 protection settings, G100 export limitation, G98 notifications, LV and HV network behaviour, and the specific technical detail each DNO looks for.
The working style is direct: explain the engineering in commercial terms, identify what is evidence and what is assumption, and recommend a practical next action. We work across every UK DNO, from UKPN, National Grid, SSEN, SP Energy Networks, ENW and Northern Powergrid, on everything from a domestic G98 heat pump notification to a 50 MW+ hybrid solar and BESS scheme.
We started DNO Renewables in 2024 after seeing the same pattern repeat: capable installers and developers losing time, and sometimes jobs, because the DNO process is slow, inconsistent and unforgiving of small mistakes. The portal keeps every client in the loop live, but the engineering work sits with our team, not with software.

I started DNO Renewables in 2024 after years of watching brilliant installers lose days, sometimes jobs, to a DNO application process that never got any easier.
The idea was simple. Build a small, focused team of people who actually understand what each DNO wants to see, and give installers one place to track every application. No templates. No ticket queues. No guessing.
